The Timber Procurement Assessment Committee (TPAC) assesses certification systems on behalf of the Dutch Procurement Policy for timber. From 2010 onwards, the Dutch government is committed to 100% sustainable procurement.

News

  • 19 October 2011. The SMK Board of Appeal reaches a decision regarding the appeal lodged by MTCC against TPAC's Revised Judgement. The Board concludes that: "The appeal lodged by MTCC is dismissed." (Lees hier het nieuwsbericht)
  • 14 July 2011. The five Dutch NGOs file an appeal after their objection regarding PEFC International was dismissed by TPAC.
  • 7 June 2011. TPAC confirms its positive judgement of PEFC International. TPAC concludes that, based on the objection filed by the NGOs, there are no grounds for revising its positive judgement of PEFC International.
  • 2 February 2011. The Dutch Parliament organises a round table discussion on the Malaysian timber certification system MTCS. Lees hier De belangrijkste bevindingen van TPAC over MTCS.
  • 3 December 2010. MTCC files an appeal against TPAC's Revised Judgement concerning MTCS.
  • 22 October 2010. TPAC revises its judgement on MTCS. Read TPAC's response to the objection of Greenpeace c.s., the Summary of TPAC's revised judgement and the Overview of scores.
  • 14 September 2010. TPAC organises a hearing on the objection against TPAC's Final Judgement on MTCS. At the hearing, both MTCS and the NGOs are represented.
  • 23 July 2010. TPAC receives an objection against its Final Judgement on PEFC International. The objection is filed by Greenpeace Netherlands, Milieudefensie, WWF Netherlands, ICCO and NCIV.
  • 9 April 2010. Greenpeace Netherlands, Milieudefensie, WWF Netherlands, ICCO and NCIV file an objection against TPAC’s Final Judgement of MTCS.
